“Collaborating with Hunter Ingalls” opened at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Process Art House, 700 S. Van Buren St., the first collaborative work of the Arts Pusher Project. There was quite a crowd of local artists on hand for the opening.
The work ranged from paintings, photography, poems, and even a video from Victoria Taylor-Gore. I brought my Illustrative students for the chance to see the work and meet the artists.
It’s time again to start a new school year, and my resolution this year is to post more on my blog. Many new things will be going on this year, so I hope to keep you informed about them. More later!

It’s amazing how fast time has gone by at the first of this semester. We are already into the 4th week. The Student Photo Club is up and rolling, looking at fundraisers.
My students seem pretty motivated and interested in learning this semester. They all are ready to jump in and help.
The darkroom space is nearly ready, just a few tasks to do before we can start printing. We’ll be dusting off the medium format cameras first!
We have officially moved into our remodeled space in Parcell Hall. It’s going to take a while to get organized, but it going to be great!
We will have a digital lab, expressive alt process lab, and will continue with traditional darkroom facilities as well.
Today we begin our move back to Parcell Hall at Amarillo College. The remodeled building looks great, and we are continuing our wet darkroom and Expressive classes. Woohoo!
Anyone in the area working with the video on DSLRs? I am expermenting with it this summer.
Ken Pirtle had his shop burn this last weekend with the wildfires. He was lucky since two neighbors had their homes completely destroyed.
